Nu ska jag visa det dopkort som min bror och pappa beställde till Anton av mig. Eftersom jag ska lämna in det till Sir Stampalots tävling denna månaden, följer beskrivningen på engelska.
When my brother and father asked me to make a card for them to my nephew's christening, I made a card in the shape of a pair of baby pants. I started with a beautiful plaid patterned paper, with a wonderful blue coordinating colour on the back. I then cut out a pocket in the same paper, mounted with sticky tape on the sides, so the pocket was functional. In order to make it look like a real pair of pants I doodled stitches around all the edges, on both pants, pockets (yes, there are two more pockets on the back), on all the tags and on the little strip of paper I punched out with the wwp (word window punch) so I could spell out his name (punched out the letters with the QK Squeeze and the alphabet Metro). I made a pair of braces with the wwp, doodled with stitches. Mounted coordinating blue half pearls as buttons and rivets. On the pocket I mounted a button - which I snipped the loop of on the backside - in shape of an old car.
When one pull out the tags from the front pocket, one can read the boy's name, and under the names I've mounted small punched out swirls.
On the backside of the pants, I've mounted a wwp-strip to look like the clasp one can pull to smaller the pants. Half pearls to look like rivets and a blue button, doodled stiches. Tags in the pockets, with information about time of birth and christening. A punched out ant at the bottom, and my ticket I'm putting on all my projects, telling everyone who's made the card and where to find me. Made it myself with a little help from Mirabyll.
Then at last the inside. Doodled stitches around all the edges, punched out swirls in the corners, and small rhinestones in the ends of the swirls. After taking the fotograph, I mounted a text printed out on the computer, I think it's so lovely: "Tomorrow is a blank page waiting to be filled with your dreams."
So, with this card I'm entering the challenge at Sir Stampalot, the theme this month was "Punch it". The punches used on this project:
ants (QK)
word strips (wwp)
the letters "Anton" (QK Metro)
swirls (QKDS-07)
tags (Cuttlebug)
Think it's qualifies well, don't you?! (I apologize for any grammatical errors in the text, I'm not so used to writing in English.)
